Begonia Rex “Etna” | Fast EU shipping | Grown with love in the EU | Pet-toxic – place with care
Summary: With fiery red veins and lush foliage, Begonia Rex “Etna” brings dramatic elegance to any European home—perfectly compact and easy to care for.
Thrives in bright, indirect light – east or northwest-facing windows are ideal. Avoid harsh sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Keep soil lightly moist, but never soggy. Loves humidity – mist occasionally or place on a pebble tray, especially in winter-heated rooms.
Use a light, peat-free potting mix with excellent drainage. Repot every 12–18 months to refresh nutrients and root space.
Begonia Rex is toxic to pets. Keep out of reach of cats and dogs, and consider placing on elevated shelves or in pet-free zones.
Fertilise lightly every 2–3 weeks in spring/summer. In winter, reduce watering and allow for a light dormancy period.
Begonia Rex hybrids originate from Southeast Asia, cultivated since the 1800s for their spectacular leaf patterns. “Etna” is named for its fiery, lava-like veining, echoing the drama of a living volcano.

Perfekt 👌
These came in perfect shape and are so easy. We put them on rocks and soak them in water once a week. Two weeks now and they still look so fresh. That never happens with our plants.
