Ficus Lyrata (Fiddle Leaf Fig) Branched XL | Fast EU shipping | Grown with love in the EU | Not pet-safe
Summary: Big, bold, and beautifully branchedâthis XL Ficus Lyrata (P27, H120 cm) brings that iconic âinterior magazineâ look to your home with lush, sculptural foliage and a tree-like silhouette made for bright European living rooms.
Bright, indirect light is key for a happy Fiddle Leaf Figâespecially for an XL plant that needs energy to maintain those big leaves. Place it near an east or west-facing window. In darker European winters, a bright south-facing spot works well if you avoid harsh midday sun through glass.
Water thoroughly when the top 4â6 cm of soil feels dry. Let excess water drain completely. In spring/summer this is often weekly; in autumn/winter it can be every 10â14 days depending on light and heating.
Use a well-draining, airy substrate to protect roots from rotâthink quality houseplant soil mixed with perlite and pine bark. The P27 pot supports strong growth, but ensure your decorative pot (if used) never holds standing water.
Not pet-safe. Ficus Lyrata produces milky sap (latex) that can irritate mouths and stomachs if chewed by cats or dogs and may irritate sensitive skin. Place out of reach of pets and wash hands after pruning.
Feed monthly from March to September with a balanced liquid fertilizer. In winter, reduce feeding and water lessâgrowth slows in low light. Wipe leaves regularly to remove dust (a big deal for large-leaf plants indoors).
Ficus lyrata is native to West African tropical forests and belongs to the Moraceae family. Indoors, itâs loved for its sculptural silhouette and dramatic foliageâone of the most iconic indoor plants for European homes and a true classic in German interior styling.
