Alocasia Baginda 'Dragon Scale' Albo Variegated by Plant Circle – Baby, Approx. 12.0cm height by Plant Circle – 6.0cm Pot
The Alocasia Baginda ‘Dragon Scale’ Albo Variegated
A botanical masterpiece, renowned for its uniquely detailed foliage that evokes the armor of a mythical dragon. Each leaf showcases an exquisite combination of deep emerald green and shimmering white variegation, with veins and textured patterns that give the plant an almost sculptural quality. The scale-like texture enhances the plant's three-dimensional appeal, making it a truly mesmerizing centerpiece for any plant lover’s indoor jungle.
Exceptional Aesthetic & Rare Variegation
What sets this rare Alocasia Baginda apart is the breathtaking contrast of its variegation. The white and green marbled leaves appear as though painted by hand, with no two leaves ever identical, ensuring that your plant is truly one of a kind. Its compact growth habit allows it to fit beautifully on shelves, desks, or plant stands, adding a touch of elegance and exotic intrigue to small and large spaces alike.
Care Guide for a Thriving Dragon Scale Albo
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its vibrant variegation. Too much direct sun may scorch the delicate leaves.
- Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out slightly between waterings.
- Humidity: This tropical beauty thrives in high humidity (above 60%). Consider placing it near a humidifier or in a terrarium to mimic its natural habitat.
- Temperature: Keep in warm conditions between 18°C and 24°C, avoiding cold drafts or sudden temperature changes.
- Soil: Well-draining, rich soil with added perlite or orchid bark is ideal for preventing root rot.
- Feeding: Fertilize monthly during the growing season with a balanced houseplant fertilizer, diluted to half strength.

Alocasia Care Tips
expand_more
Light
Put your Alocasia in a spot with bright indirect light.
Water
While Alocasia are rather thirsty, too much water can cause root rot and ultimately lead to the death of your plant. This is why you should never let your Alocasia sit in water (e.g. standing water in the saucer). When the top 3cm of soil are thoroughly dry to the touch, it is safe to water again.
Please note: Jewel Alocasia as are far less tolerant of constantly wet soil than the other, thinner-leafed Alocasia varieties. Be particularly careful not to overwater them!
Humidity
Alocasia tolerate moderate humidity of around 50%, but they will thrive better and grow faster in higher humidity from 70%+.
Soil
Use our soil-less and well-draining Alocasia potting mix if you want to make your Alocasia truly happy! Alocasias love it airy around the roots, so a loose and ideally soil-less mixture will work wonders.
Toxicity
All Alocasia are toxic to humans and animals when ingested.
