π§ Water & Humidity
Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Requires high humidity (above 60β70%) to maintain crisp, healthy leaves. Mist regularly or use a humidifier, especially during dry European winters.

Prefers a chunky, airy aroid mix with peat, perlite, and orchid bark for drainage and root aeration. Repot every 1β2 years to refresh nutrients and support growth.
πΎ Toxicity & Safety
Toxic to pets if ingested due to calcium oxalate crystals. Keep away from cats and dogs to prevent irritation or stomach upset.
π± Growth & Propagation
Slow-growing with new leaves developing intense dragon scale texture and mint variegation as it matures. Propagate via division of offsets during repotting for best success.
π Seasonal & Special Care
Reduce watering slightly in winter when growth slows. Maintain stable warmth above 18Β°C and high humidity to avoid leaf drop or stress. Fertilise monthly during spring and summer with a balanced, diluted liquid fertiliser.

Super good packaging and the plant looked great! after just a few days after arrival a new leaf appeared, so I am super happy and canΒ΄t wait to have the little babies grow!
The Alocasia itself is beautiful and healthy, with a lovely new leaf already developing. However, the packaging method used for shipping was very disappointing. The pots were stacked together in a way that put strong pressure on the stems during transport for several days, which caused permanent bending on some petioles and damage to one leaf.
At first, my concerns were underestimated, but after additional photos and explanations, Plant Circle handled the situation professionally and offered a fair partial refund, which I appreciated.
So overall, the plant is beautiful, but the packaging method for large Alocasias clearly needs improvement.
The leaves were wrinkled from shipping.
The plant arrived with a torn leaf due to shipping.
Dropped 2 small leaves while in transit, but plant looks healthy
