Summary: This compact Alocasia boasts slender metallic green leaves in a perfect baby size, adding rare elegance and texture even to the smallest urban plant corners.
Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun to keep leaves vibrant. Ideal for east-facing windows or under grow lights in darker rooms.
Keep soil lightly moist but avoid sogginess. Enjoys high humidity (60-80%) – mist daily or place near a humidifier for healthy growth.
Use a chunky aroid mix with coco coir, perlite, and orchid bark. Repot in spring once roots outgrow the nursery pot.
Toxic if ingested. Keep out of reach of pets and children.
Produces small offsets (‘pups’) that can be divided carefully during repotting for propagation.
Reduce watering slightly during winter dormancy. Wipe leaves gently to keep their metallic sheen free from dust.
Prone to spider mites in low humidity. Yellowing leaves may indicate overwatering or poor drainage.
Native to the Philippines, Alocasia scalprum is prized for its unique sword-like foliage and compact habit, making it a collector’s favourite worldwide.

My experience at plant circle: I ordered 5 plants, alocasia to Slovenia, but Loco was sold out, they informed me about this and gave me the choice of another plant or a refund, my decision is to get another Frydek plant. The shipment of plants arrived carefully packaged without damage. But the alocasia was not in the package, at first I was disappointed, but the next day I was surprised, DPD delivered and made up for my Frydek plant. I received a notification from plant circle that they forgot to send it in the first shipment and sent it back without any additional costs. plant circle is one of the best indoor plant stores, you deserve a rating of 10 not just 5. Thank you.
Diese Alocasia gefällt mir bis jetzt am besten. Sie hatte kaum Versandstress und sieht sehr schön aus.
Alles perfekt
