‘Stained Glassworks Spacecake’ – Colour Explosion for Bright Indoor Displays
Coleus scutellarioides | Fast EU shipping | Grown with love in the EU | Pet-toxic (handle with care)
Summary: This dazzling coleus cultivar features deeply serrated leaves splashed with hot pink, lime, burgundy, and chocolate tones – a vibrant choice to enliven your indoor plant collection.
✨ Why You'll Love It
- Intense multicolour foliage – no two leaves are the same
- Compact baby plant (Pot 6 cm | Height ~12 cm) – perfect for windowsills, shelves, or terrariums
- Brightens darker corners when placed under grow lights
- Fast-growing annual or short-lived perennial indoors
- Easy to pinch and shape for bushier, fuller growth
🌞 Light & Placement
Thrives in bright, indirect light to maintain vivid colour patterns. Can tolerate some morning sun but avoid strong midday rays to prevent leaf scorch.
💧 Water & Humidity
Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top 1–2 cm of soil feels dry. Enjoys normal household humidity; mist occasionally if air is very dry.
🪴 Soil & Potting
Plant in a rich, well-draining potting mix. Repot as it outgrows its baby pot to encourage lush growth and prevent root binding.
🐾 Toxicity & Safety
Toxic to pets if ingested. Keep out of reach of cats, dogs, and small children to avoid irritation or digestive upset.
🌱 Growth & Propagation
Pinch growing tips regularly to encourage branching and prevent legginess. Easy to propagate via stem cuttings in water or soil for new vibrant coleus plants.
📆 Seasonal & Special Care
Fertilise every 2–4 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser. Reduce feeding in winter when growth slows. Rotate regularly to keep even bushy growth.
🐛 Common Issues
- Leaf drop: Underwatering or sudden temperature changes.
- Faded colour: Insufficient light; move to a brighter spot.
- Pests: Watch for aphids and whiteflies; treat promptly with insecticidal soap.
