Fittonia albivenis Baby | Fast EU shipping | Grown with love in the EU | Pet-safe
Summary: This charming baby Fittonia adds a vivid splash of green with intricate white veining, ideal for brightening compact spaces and terrariums.
β¨ Why You'll Love the Fittonia albivenis Baby
- Beautiful green foliage with striking white veins
- Compact size (H10cm, P6cm pot) fits any shelf or desktop
- Perfect for closed terrariums due to high humidity needs
- Pet-safe β worry-free for homes with cats or dogs
- Purifies indoor air with its lush foliage
π Light & Placement
Thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch delicate leaves. Great for bathrooms, kitchens, or shaded terrarium corners.
π§ Water & Humidity
Keep soil evenly moist at all times without waterlogging. Loves high humidity (60-90%); mist regularly or place near a humidifier for optimal health.
πͺ΄ Soil & Potting
Plant in a well-draining peat-rich substrate or tropical mix. Repot annually if roots become crowded, but it remains petite overall.
πΎ Toxicity & Safety
Completely non-toxic and safe for pets and children β ideal for animal-friendly homes.
π± Growth & Propagation
Stays compact at around 10-15cm tall. Propagate easily by taking stem cuttings and rooting them in water or moist soil.
π Seasonal & Special Care
Protect from cold drafts in winter and never let soil dry out completely. Perfect for year-round indoor cultivation and terrarium setups.
π Common Issues
Watch for drooping leaves if underwatered and crispy edges if humidity is too low. Boost humidity to keep foliage lush and vibrant.
𧬠Botanical Background
Fittonia albivenis, known as the nerve plant or mosaic plant, is native to the tropical rainforests of Peru. Its striking veined leaves make it a popular choice for terrariums and shaded indoor displays.
